Case Study Using Hyperbaric
Treating Traumatic Brain
Injury with Mild Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Sam, a 10 year old male,
suffered from a traumatic brain injury from a car accident two years
prior. Physicians were initially
unsure he would survive the accident and expected him to be mentally and
physically disabled for the rest of his life. At the time of this writing, Sam has undergone 80 hyperbaric
treatments in a portable hyperbaric chamber utilizing an oxygen concentrator
to enhance the amount of oxygen diluted into the tissues. Sam began to speak some words
again and is able to respond to commands.
The 10 year old also has more control over movements, is able to walk
with help and can now take care of some daily tasks that were impossible for
him after the accident. Sam is
continuing his hyperbaric treatments with the help of a hyperbaric chamber
purchased for in home therapy. Click Here for Medical Studies and Articles on Treating
