Sclerosis Case Study Using Hyperbaric
Treating MS with Hyperbaric
Oxygen Therapy Susan, a 45 year old female
diagnosed with progressive multiple sclerosis, has symptoms including severe
pain, insomnia, severe fatigue, foggy brain, tingling and numbness in
extremities, lack of balance and severe depression. After an MRI, extensive lesions were revealed in the brain and
spinal cord. Susan was treated with
traditional hard shell hyperbaric oxygen therapy
for 60 minutes a day, three times a week, utilizing 100% oxygen. After two months
of hyperbaric therapy, Susan began to see relief of her symptoms. Her cognitive function has improved,
resulting in clearer thinking, and loss of the brain fog that often
accompanies multiple sclerosis. She
began to experience improved sleep, loss of fatigue, less dizziness, and more
controlled balance. The numbness and
tingling sensation in her limbs has disappeared and her severe pain has
drastically diminished. Most
significantly, lesions on her brain and spinal cord have almost disappeared
as evidenced through follow up MRI.
Susan continues to receive hyperbaric therapy treatments utilizing
100% oxygen. Click
